Chapter 4 Session 2 * As discussed in , we recommend that you regularly monitor clients’ PTSD and depression symptoms by having them complete self-report measures at the beginning of every other session of PE (e.g., sessions 2, 4, 6, 8). We use the PTSD symptom section of the Posttraumatic Stress Diagnostic Scale (PDS ® ) and the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) to do so. This permits assessment of change during therapy and is extremely helpful for monitoring progress and giving feedback to clients during treatment.
