A letter from Winnicott to Gabriel Casuso, in which Winnicott answers Casuso’s questions about his healthy son who had developed an intellectual interest in the penis at about a year of age. Winnicott puts forth his theories of the psychoanalytic meaning of the penis and the maternal phallus.
