In this letter to Mary Applebey, General Secretary of The National Association for Mental Health, Winnicott discusses the pamphlet The Case as the Patient Sees It. Winnicott states his belief that, although he is hesitant to write an introduction for such a work, such patient-focused views can have great value for analysts and social workers carrying out work with these patients.
