Marianne Baumann was a Swiss psychoanalyst.

5 June 1958

Dear Dr Baumann,

Thank you very much for writing me. I am sorry your Arbeitstagung has had to be postponed.

I would very much like to speak English one day to you all, but there are those who would do it better even in English, if you want Klein views. I think you should not be caught up in our splits, which have no effect on the general situation. Melanie has much to teach us all, and anyone she sends over will be very helpful. I specially recommend Mrs Bick.

There is a new book of mine (Collected Papers: Through Paediatrics to Psycho-Analysis. Tavistock Publications Ltd., 2 Beaumont Street, London, W.1.) which may interest your group if it can be found in your library.

Yours sincerely,

P.S. I shall not be at Barcelona.i (p. 346)
