This is Winnicott’s spoken commentary on Virginia Axline’s book Play Therapy. He praises the book in that its method and Axline’s attitude can be communicated to suitable people in a relatively short period of time and without a psychoanalytic or medical training. He also makes note of the book’s limitations as regards the complication of psycho-analytic interpretation.
