Abstract

The Coping Long Term with Active Suicide Program (CLASP): Clinician Guide focuses on the development, studies, formats, and therapeutic strategies of CLASP in an effort to reduce suicide. Suicidal behavior is a major public health problem across the world. Moreover, evidence-based practice offers the most responsible course of action for the mental health professional in the emerging health care system. CLASP is specifically designed as an adjunctive program that can be used as a complement to other ongoing psychotherapeutic and pharmacological treatments. The title is expected to provide practitioners with a highly useful guide in decreasing the suicide risk of vulnerable patients and supporting their long-term recovery.
