This chapter discusses the research background for linguistic remedies (LR), and includesits core pedagogical concepts. It describes LR’s basic program and supportsfor pacing, organization, problem solving, and communication. The chapterincludes some modifications teachers have made for different children orteaching situations. The final sections discuss some patterns of successes andchallenges in implementations of LR in schools, and what we have learnedfrom those instances.
