This chapter explores how consultee-centeredconsultation (CCC) can facilitate the diffusion and use of innovations ineducation. The chapter begins with a description ofCCC and how it can be utilized to support knowledge diffusion and utilization, before describing how it can support problem-solvingmethods utilized in response to intervention (RTI), along with the difficultiesand obstacles of diff using and using innovations in schools. The chapterconcludes with a look at the application of CCC in one existing approachto RTI, the problem-solving model, to demonstrate how schools and systemscan use a well-established, well-researched form of consultation to meet student,faculty, and staff needs.
