This chapter discusses a range of ways of working with metaphorical imagery, and considers strategies of socialization, evocation and assessment, micro-formulation, manipulation, discrimination, transformation, making an emotional bridge, and creation. Additionally, the topic of extending the work with metaphorical images to describe the value of using stories, pictures, films, and drawings in working with metaphor is explored.
