In this letter to Hanna Segal, Winnicott protests Segal’s behaviour in a BPAS scientific meeting, regarding her behaviour and that of Paula Heimann as destructive to Melanie Klein’s contribution to psycho-analysis. He says that he enjoyed the papers but thinks it unfortunate when the trend is taken away from scientific statement towards the statement of a political position.
