In this letter, Winnicott corrects Khan’s notes about a paper Winnicott has given, which Khan is passing on to their colleague Dr Frankl. He wants to alter Khan’s use of the word ‘dissociation’ where Winnicott instead wants the word ‘disintegration’. Winnicott defines his own terms ‘integration, ‘unintegration’, ‘disintegration’ and ‘dissociation’ in great detail.
