15th September, 1960.

Dear Dr. Statten,

In reply to your cable I suggest:

October 6th: Integrating and Disintegrating

Factors in Family Life

October 7th: The Doctor in Sickness and in Health.

These titles allow me some latitude. Please alter them or make suggestions.

I plan to travel over night 5th – 6th, and I must get back Sunday 16th, a.m. It is not quite certain yet that my wife can come.

Make any arrangements you like but please don’t overload with Canadian hospitality because I’m too old to overeat.

We do so much look forward to our visit, and I can only hope I’ll be able to give something in return which will be of value to your department.

No doubt you will let Scott see this.

I’ve been away else would have written earlier.

Yours

D. W. Winnicott.
