23rd July 1962.

Dr. Melvin Mandel1,

Los Angeles Psychoanalytic Society,

344 North Bedford Drive,

Beverly Hills,

Dear Dr.Mandel,

Dr.Rollman-Branch has let me know that you are in charge of arrangements for the visit of myself and my wife to Los Angeles. We are looking forward to this visit very much and possibly I will be communicating with you from time to time over details. I am quite willing, however, to leave the main points to yourself and to your colleagues. I think that on the whole it would be best for us to accept what you arrange and I do know that you understand that we do not want to have our time completely organised. We expect to arrive in Los Angeles at 3.45 p.m. on Sunday 30th September and to leave for San Francisco on Friday 5th October, although we have not arranged our journey time yet for this day.

Yours very sincerely,

D W Winnicott
