This chapter aims to examine the relevance of developmentalfactors to the treatment of childhood anxiety, and in so doing toargue for their consideration and inclusion in future clinical research andpractice. A brief review of treatment literature currently existing in the childand adolescent anxiety field is included, as is a discussion of various issuesrelated to treatment design and implementation that are linked either directlyor indirectly to developmental themes.
