Chapter 12 explores Session 9 of the treatment program. This session discusses the partner’s role in drink refusal, and ways that the partner can help the client when alcohol is present. Communication skills are also explored, including levelling and editing techniques, as well as how to identify decisions that can inadvertently lead to drinking.
