Chapter 8 outlines Session 5, which focuses on how to deal with urges to drink, and decreasing triggers that originate from the partner’s behavior. The partner’s role in dealing with urges is discussed, along with a review of skills that have been learned and progress that has been made. Participants are encouraged to reflect on how far they have come since the first session of treatment.
