Chapter 4 outlines the third session of the CBSM program. Further relaxation training introduces diaphragmatic breathing and the use of imagery to aid relaxation. The links between thoughts or appraisals, and emotions and feelings are discussed, along with exercises to enable increased awareness of negative thinking patterns and lead to more balanced appraisals.
