Chapter 5 outlines the third session of group therapy. Relaxation training in this session focuses on deep breathing and counting, as well as passive progressive muscle relaxation, and methods of combining the two exercises. The session also discusses sex and sexuality after prostate cancer treatment, including common physical and psychological effects of cancer treatment, and performance anxiety, as well as links between emotions and self-talk and exercises in breaking cycles of negative thoughts.
