Chapter 6 outlines the fourth treatment session. This session continues the development of the symptom hierarchy, and introduces the strategy of positive self-talk or ‘bossing back’. An in-session practice exposure task is performed based on the symptom hierarchy. The differential attention technique of the removal of attention is outlined, as well as the level of family involvement with the at-home aspects of the treatment program.
