Chapter 4 outlines exposure with response prevention (E/RP). The main component of treatment is doing exposures both in session and for homework. These exposure tasks are designed to help your child fight back against OCD symptoms. Based on the hierarchy of OCD symptoms, tasks of increasing difficulty will be chosen each week. The chapter discusses in-session and homework exposure, as well as coaching skills for the parent to support the child throughout these E/RP exercises.
