Chapter 6 explores generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), cognitive models of GAD, the development of relevant beliefs, key cognitions in GAD, and behavioural experiments to work with the appraisals that maintain the process of dysfunctional worry and test metacognitive beliefs. Common difficulties are also presented.
