Group members discuss the rationale for exposure practice exercises to help them not acquire. The leader describes the habituation process in which emotional discomfort declines over time. Leaders work with the clients to develop a practice hierarchy for non-acquisition and discuss plans for non-acquisition practice. The group discusses the role of avoidance behaviors in hoarding disorder.
