This session focuses on reducing clients’ acquiring behaviors. Members complete an acquiring form at home and bring this and a newly acquired item to the group for discussion. Visualization exercises help members examine their thoughts and feelings about acquiring to understand the reasons behind their problem. Members discuss and evaluate their acquiring behavior and use a worksheet to consider the advantages and disadvantages of acquiring.
