This chapter provides an overview of obesity and consumption of total calories, SSBs, energy-dense foods, and fruits and vegetables in US children and adolescents using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 2005–2008. The association between obesity and these dietary behaviors is also presented.
